RANDAL BAYS tune learning workshop

OK, pour yourself a cup of coffee, rosin your bow and get ready to learn some tunes. I've recorded some good ones
for you, with each tune played twice at a moderate tempo such us you might find in a good session, then once at
a slower pace for study. I've tried to play the first time through with little or no ornamentation so you can grasp
the actual melody, then the second time through with some ornaments added in. Here's a tip... don't get blinded
by the ornaments in Irish fiddle music, but focus your attention on the basic melody of each piece and learn to
bow them in a way that brings out the rhythm and the beauty of the tune itself.

And don't be discouraged; you only have 4,814 tunes left to learn. That is, after you've thoroughly mastered...
